Usually you'd have been taken to the story after clicking that last link. But this tale represents a departure for Dark Horizon, so I felt it best to take a moment to discuss it before proceeding.

Some readers may not like this story at all, thinking it's not Trek, while others may feel it was about time Dark Horizon took this path.

Fall From Grace wasn't an easy one for me to write for a variety of reasons. I've struggled with the questions it presented since last February when I began writing it. I had essentially finished this story in its current form around the first week of June (08), but set it aside to give me perspective not only about the material which is the departure I mentioned earlier, but about some of the other story elements.

But finally I decided this is the story I wrote, and more importantly, this is who these characters are.

Below you'll see two links. One takes you to the original version of the story. But be warned--- this contains a sexual scene which is more graphic than the usual PG-13 material you find on this site. It also has an image more suggestive than those typically found in Dark Horizon.

The other is to a version which while still containing that scene, has the more explicit aspects edited out, and does not include the suggestive image. Those who aren't interested in reading the more graphic version (or aren't of the age where they should be reading it--- and you know who you are), should choose the "PG" version.

The choice is yours.
