Star Trek: Dark Horizon

Freedom Of Information Act

by

Michael Gray

Matt Wright loved going to work, primarily because he hated who he worked for. Starfleet hadn't harmed him or those he loved, but it had committed the worst of sins in Matt's mind. It kept secrets.

Secrets ran counter to Matt's sense of what a free society was all about.

Today, a report came in from Lieutenant Mei-Wan Lau.

"Hmmm... Ancient Progenitors? Looks like a good one." He felt that way about anything with the word "classified" attached.

A couple of switches, a comm line opened, and it was no longer classified.

With that, Matt once again made a difference.
