"Damn it!"

Kadan Loftus had suffered many defeats in her life, but this pierced her soul.

She read it again, "By order Commander Starfleet, all fighter wings assigned to Oceana Class starships are hereby disbanded."

She sent the PADD sailing across her quarters.

Hank Evans had nearly driven her off this ship, and Chamberlain's current engine problems threatened the same.

But now the deed was done.

She opened the bottle of brandy on her desk. A glass was superfluous for her intentions.

As she inhaled liquid through the neck of the bottle only one thought occurred to her:

Now what?
