Mei-Wan sank into her seat aboard the nearly vacant transport as she read from the PADD:

Seven pounds, five ounces... a boy. Enlai Lau.

The child from the life she had rejected.

Todd's son.

Enlai Lau would never know his father or mother because of her choices.

Please, forgive me.

But what other options had there been? None she could live with.

He would call Mei-Wan aunt. And each time, part of her would yearn for her son.

My little baby boy...

A smiling flight hostess stopped at the end of Mei-Wan's row. "Anything to drink, ma'am?"

"Something strong... whisky."
